Magento: two fixed shipping rates by weight

Trying to set up shipping rates as follows:

If the total shopping basket is less than 1 kg, then delivery will be £ 3.68.

If the total basket exceeds 1 kg, then the delivery will be £ 6.68

If the total shipping cost is more than £ 100, free shipping.

I managed to hack it all together, using a flat rate of £ 6.66, and then using the Promotions> Shopping Cart Rules section to throw an extra 3 pounds if under 1 kg. But the deduction does not tear itself away from the delivery price, it simply displays as a discount, which will be confusing and does not look right. Therefore, they need an alternative / correct path.

All this in the UK, we do not ship abroad at the moment.

Any help appreciated.

You need to use tables.

In the menu "System"> "Configuration"> "Delivery methods" change the "Current configuration area" to the website, then the "Export" button will become available in the "Tariffs" section. To get the correct file, the condition must be "Weight versus Goal." Download the exported file and change it to something like this:

Country Region / State Zip / Postal Code Weight (and above) Shipping Price
UK * * 0 3.68
UK * * 1 6.68
