How to save URL parameter for pages

I will not be the developers who embed my webapp to be able to pass a parameter to the url, for example ?style=dark, which will change css accordingly. Is there a better way to keep this setting when the user navigates to adding ?style=darkto all links?

I looked at cookies, etc., but if one user views two pages in which my application with different themes is embedded, then you will override the other.
