JQuery Watermark Plugin Submit Watermarks as Values

Question

I am using jquery.watermark.min.js plugin.

I recently noticed that it is submitting watermarks on the submit form. This has not been done before, but now it is. I don’t know what I changed. Any ideas? Or corrections?

I am using MVC, Ajax.BeginForm, I have a viewmodel with validation on it.

The website said something about using jquery validate and activate it after the watermark. Is mvc something for me that breaks this?
