Flash (or Silverlight) on iPhone

I am interested in developing applications on the iPhone and being a .NET and ActionScript developer. I'm a little scared out of the learning curve of Objective-C Cocoa Touch programming. I know that Adobe has a Flash player ready for the iPhone, and I think that Apple does not want this simply for political reasons. Is there a simple alternative for creating applications that access the internal GPS, phone, etc. Without using Objective-C and Cocoa Touch?

There is currently no other way. Over time, Apple Fanboy, I again and again found out one thing: "Is it Steve or the highway." If Steve says that there is no Flash, then you can argue with your cute little bippy that Flash will not. Therefore, either create a web application or learn Objective-C. I am the head of JAVA, and I learned everything that I needed to learn about a month later, in my free time, so this is not as bad as it seems at first glance.

Flash is a proprietary runtime. Why does Apple want this on its device?

Not to mention the fact that Flash developers regularly run processor cycles on the Internet. Ever has your fan spin on a web page with heavy flash objects clogging your processor?

I don’t see Apple supporting Flash, and I'm glad they won’t. The web is open standards, and Flash belongs to one company.
