I am trying to extract some numbers from 1-99 to an image. Ive tried several OCR methods using PHP, but in the end my script will fail, since the numbers sometimes rotate 5% left or right. This makes the image unrecognizable.
Ive now installed Ocropus http://code.google.com/p/ocropus/ as a test. Unfortunately, this does not give me the correct numbers every time. It makes me think that my photos are not optimized enough.
Does anyone have any tips / ideas on optimizing the readability of numbers? I would also be grateful for ideas on how to find the numbers in the picture.
