Google API for objective-c

Question

Is there a way to get email from Google, send email and add contacts to my address book using the Google APIs?

I am making an obj-c mac application.

You can access mail from Google (and most other mail providers) through IMAP, and mail can be sent via SMTP. You can use the Pantomime Framework for these protocols.
