Getting the best records in MySQL

Question

This is probably something very simple, so forgive my bright moment :)

I have an album 'album'

* albumId
* albumOwnerId (who created)
* albumCSD (create stamp date)

Now I'm trying to select the 10 most recent updated albums. But I do not want 10 albums from the same person to return - I only need one album per person. IE 10 albums from 10 different people.

So, this is what I have below, but it does not work correctly, and I just can’t understand why. Any ideas?

FROM album
ORDER BY albumCSD DESC
LIMIT 0,10

I get the results you want to have with this query

However in MS Access
