Zend Lucene is being processed ... crashed my site

{Zend_Search_Lucene_Exception} Index is under processing now

This is what I get in my error log, which causes 50% of my website to crash. What should I do to fix this?

ok, I deleted the whole index and put chmod777 in the whole folder of folders + subfolders and fixed the problem.
