Adding push notification functionality to an existing application

Hey, is it possible to add push notifications to an existing application? Will it be possible if I need to change the application?

I ask about this because I am ready to send my application and currently do not require push notifications. In the initialization portal, I already created a default application identifier with a wildcard Bundle identifier.

However, I will need a push notification service in the future. And for this I will need to use an asymmetric packet identifier. Is it easy to change in the future? I prefer not to get certified push notification services right now.

You cannot change the package identifier of your application (inside info.plist and iTunesConnect). Thus, now select your package identifier for proper use.

You can sign the application with other certificates (without wildcards) when updating.
