How to install IntelliJ plugin without loading it in IntelliJ

I created my .zip file and I just want to extract it to the ~ / Library / Application Support / Intellij-x folder

This does not work, and all the reactive brains tell me (in their documents) that I should upload it to my server. "Then everyone has access to it!" as if it’s good when I try to check it outside the sandbox and “you can immediately understand it!”, not to mention the fact that he needs to go through 2-day moderation.

At first I thought that I installed the idea version from the moment of assembly into the wrong version, so I tried to set it to 1, but that did not work.

Any tips on how to make it work? Do you expect that only extracting it to this folder should work?

There is no problem installing such plugins.

I just installed IntelliJad 9 by putting the extracted folder in ~/Library/Application Support/IntelliJIdea10. And it works.

Also works for intelij12 on maverick. Just installed the php plugin through the loading jar and moved it to:

cp idea-php-alpha-7.jar ~ / Library / Application \ Support / IdeaIC12 /

You can also go to Settings-> plugins-> Install plugin from disk
