How to set up custom theme for .NET application?

As the title says, I’m wondering how to style a program like Photoshop CS4 or Autodesk Maya 2011. These programs are styled where the user interface looks completely normal. Right now I'm using C # for programming, but I can easily switch to C ++ and WinAPI if that is easier. I have done some google searches for style controls in C #, but there seems to be no exact results.

This is not an easy task. DevXpress offers a wide range of skins with its components, which is why Telerik .

There is a free library (without source) in Skybound , however this version is quite old and does not develop anymore.

If you use C #, WPF is the way to go to create a user interface. WinForms do not change.
