UI Usability Book for Developers

As the main software developer, I believe that the most difficult thing for me is to create a useful user interface.

I read several books, including The Smashing Book and Web Design for Developers . But they mainly focus on design, rather than building more complex interfaces (for example, highlighting many-to-many elements with search with different options on both sides, grouping using different fields, etc.).

Are there any books, articles designed to create more (logically) complex user interfaces for the Internet?

Based on a different answer to SO, Web UI Design looks good

Thanks,
Dmytrii.

As with any topic, take as many resources as possible.

My latest addition to my handful of books is Designing Interface Templates for Effective Jennifer Tywell Interaction Design . Links: Official website and Amazon .

I highly recommend it: it describes user interfaces in templates (something we are familiar with).

A few books from my bookshelf:
