Millions of non-breaking spaces in an .aspx file?

Has anyone seen an instance in which Visual Studio (or possibly SourceSafe) decides to insert about 9 million non-breaking space characters at the end of a line in an ASPX file?

I’m trying to find out if this could be some kind of strange error, or if the programmer fell asleep with a blank space, and in design mode ... and then went ahead and checked the page in SourceSafe without noticing what it did.

I have never heard of this. My guess would be as good as expected. If you see this a lot, then there may be a problem to worry about. If this is only one page, I would clear it and then go over.
