Are there any ELMAH-style exception logging components for non-http applications?

Question

ELMAH is specifically designed to register exceptions in ASP.Net, but it leaves a lot of people (including me) who want to solve the same comprehensive problem of registering / viewing exceptions for non-web applications.

Are you aware of any open source components for general purpose journaling and ELMAH reporting?

There is a logging unit from Microsoft, as well as an apache log4net foundation .

Both are open source and free.
