WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions not defined

I downloaded and installed the MS Stock Trader application. I am running Vista Ultimate, IIS7, VS 2008 / .NET 3.5. The whole application is about 120 MB, so it is rather confusing, but everything seemed to be fine tuned from msi. When I launch the application and try to log in, I get a javascript error after clicking the "Login" link:

WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions is not defined

When I look at the source of the page, the Login link displays the following:

<a id="LinkLogin" class="Button" href="javascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions(&quot;LinkLogin&quot;, &quot;&quot;, false, &quot;&quot;, &quot;Login.aspx&quot;, false, true))">Login</a>

I searched for this and found a solution that people used in IIS 6:

Lift up IIS and right-click your virtual directory. Select "Properties." On the Virtual Directory tab in the Application Settings section, click the Configuration button. This displays the Mappings tab. Highlight the entry for ".axd" and click "Edit." Make sure the bottom left checkbox for "Verify that the file exists" is not set! If not, uncheck the box and click OK. The WebResource.axd links that you see when you create Source View on a .NET web page are not actually associated with a physical file, so if this box is checked, the scripts will not load correctly.
