Merge 2 SQL Server Databases

I need to combine two SQL Server 2008 databases.

The scenario is as follows: I have a test server and a production server. They are slightly different from the structure. There are several additional tables on the test server. Now I need the structure of the test database on the production server with data from the production database.

What is the easiest way to do this?

To synchronize databases, simply use the Red-Gate SQL Compare tool . There are other tools on the market (some free) that do the same job, but Red-Gate has an excellent reputation in the community.

This is not difficult to do manually as soon as you know the list of tables that need to be changed. The best part of third-party tools is that they run a scan and show all the differences, then you can right-click on the tool, generate scripts that add columns / tables, and run them again in the tool.

I am using AdeptSQL for this purpose.
