Twitter API: Email People Search

I am trying to find people through the Twitter API. I use these URLs: https://api.twitter.com/1/users/ search.json?q=some@email.com But there is a problem. For example, when I browse through the email “ blablabla@gmail.com ”, twitter responds to me with an entire account than “gmail.com” in my email. Therefore, I cannot even find myself.

How can I tell the twitter API that I want to find only the person with the specified email address?

The Twitter API users / search API clearly states that the search function is similar to the “Find People” that are available on Twitter. I searched for people with my email address and he searched for everyone who has @ispprovider.com(example).
