How can I send input to multiple terminal windows (not tabs)?

I am using gnome-terminal (Ubuntu 10.10). I like it, although I would like to switch to another for this function.

Can someone tell me how I can translate keystrokes to multiple windows? The closest thing I found is the Terminator program, which allows you to broadcast multiple tabs, but not to multiple windows. Apparently, a similar feature was removed from v3 from Konsole when it switched to v4 (I don’t know why). As far as I can tell, there are similar features on the screen, but not between the windows.

I spent several hours, but not joy.

I would also like to get a general solution (input into multiple windows of any type) that I could adapt for use with terminal windows.

Try it with keyboardcast software :apt-get install keyboardcast
