How can I route audio to a piece of bluetooth earphone when part of bluetooth ear is paired

Could you tell me how can I redirect the sound to the bluetooth ear when the bluetooth ear part is connected?

I installed my audio manager as MODE_IN_CALL.

audioManager.setMode(AudioManager.MODE_IN_CALL);

I read Android - Getting sound to play through headphones , but I'm not sure if this applies to my case, as it relates to some outdated methods. Plus, doesn’t the android detect that the bluetooth ear pillow is paired and directed towards the ear on the phone or in the bluetooth earpiece automatically?
