I would like to be able to view screenshots of Morningstar web pages. Morningstar provides information on a mutual fund that I regularly review, but could not find elsewhere, i.e.
- total revenue compared to benchmark
- total income compared to peers
- priority rating

As a prelude to screening, I need to be able to load a web page with the right content. Unfortunately, when I try to use Java SE6 or wget to get the above link, I get only the html part (there are no tables showing general return metrics). I get the same result if I use my browser (Chrome) to save the page only as html. I notice that if I use my browser to save the full page (html, js, css and everything else), then the downloaded html contains interesting information.
I have two questions:
- How can I programmatically download the entire html file? Although I am writing this program in Java, I do not mind using an external tool.
- Why were my above attempts not inferior to the HTML I was expecting?
