Alternatives to SQL Server Express beyond 2 GB

Question

In our project (which is fully developed using .NET), we use a medium-sized database of about 2 GB in size. We are currently using the SQL Express edition;

How are variables executed for SQL Server Express? I mainly consider MySQL and PostgreSQL. (Windows 7 x86, x64)

• Is there any convincing advantage in using MySQL or PostgreSQL?
• How about support for the embedded .NET object?
• Built-in XML types?
• Binary data support?
• Support for a similar tool like Management Studio?
• Easy to install?
• Memory?
• Performance comparison of these three databases

Should I consider these alternatives, especially considering the fact that we are a .NET store?
