How can I get rid of “Release 1” in the Sphinx output latex page header?

I use the "manual" class of the Sphinx document, and I am quite happy with what Latex Output looks like, except for the page title. It contains the title of my article, as well as "Release 1".

Since I'm writing paper, not documentation, I clearly don't need release information. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find information on how to configure the output of Sphinx latex.

Does anyone know how to do this?
