Learning the Google App Engine and BigTable

I have a traditional RDBMS-based PHP application that I need to convert to GAE and would like to learn how BigTable works before. However, I would like to do this with trial problems or examples that show the maximum way to think and use a platform without RDBMS like BigTable ...

It seems that this will be the best way to take before just jumping in and screwing up some things as a result of the one-to-one transformation, which is likely to happen on both sides in the first method.

Anyone who can recommend a good starting path that may have helped you or something like that, properly initiate someone with App Engine and BigTable?

I would recommend having a game with the Cookbook App Engine to see how everything works. It has some really good examples and helped me a lot when trying to understand the DataStore

A good way is to look at the source code for good GAE projects like jaikuengine and rietveld .

For Google IO Articles 2009 and 2010 and GAE Articles, offer a good resource.
