What is a good beginner project with some actual use

I will not call myself a novice programmer, I worked in c and C ++ for a while, but I never worked on something of my own. I think that larger training can be done if you are working on a project where there is work. With this in mind, could you guys tell me some project that I can implement? I recently learned how to create posix threads, so something that I can do with this would be nice. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about how to do and create a user interface, so I would like to avoid this.

You can write your own threadpool , which would be interesting, complex, and would not require a lot of interface work.

You cannot receive many streams, but nothing at http://projecteuler.net/ is recommended.

If you wish, you can make a program for drawing and coloring the Mandelbrot set. You can do this with multiple threads, and you can use the advanced features for a larger project.
