In our company, we have a sandbox in stock, and individual users have directories under it. It does not use any permissions or any technical means from Perforce to enforce this, but it is generally understood that the user area of the sandbox is intended only for this use, which may have damaged or partial code and cannot be relied on for anything (or even exist in the same form from one day to another).
We also have sandboxes for specific projects that appear from time to time. This may cause other users to admire, depending on how the sandbox was named, but they share the same general idea - with only a few users working in this area, so it’s a little less likely to change arbitrarily.
