How can I selectively clear the cache for Sinatra + Nginx + Phusion Passenger?

I have a modular Sinatra application running on nginx with Phusion Passenger. When I modify my application (and in particular, some YAML files that are used to create pages), I would like to clear only those parts of my cache that were affected (and leave evertyhing else only in /public-I know that I can just clear the whole cache, but I was hoping that it wasn’t.

• proxy_cache .
