Oracle license for development environment?

Sorry I have to ask about this here, but I did not find the final answer on the oracle page or on the Internet. I even spoke on the phone with the seller, but they could not help me.

What Oracle installations and licenses do you use for your development environment? We are currently using 10g XE, which has only one significant limitation: the 4gb database size limitation. Are there other "free" versions that do not have such restrictions? And if not, what will be the most economical version / combination? Often have a tough user limit that is ridiculously low.

Since it seems that there is a production environment, the license for the software that you download from OTN will almost certainly not be sufficient. Since every developer seems to have a local development environment, you should be able to use Personal Edition. This is a relatively inexpensive ($ 460 perpetual / $ 92 for a 1-year license plus support in the Oracle Store at the moment) version of Oracle, intended for use by a single developer on a local computer. It has all the functionality of a corporate version of a database.
