Property Location Data - Where can I find datasets?

I am wondering how Zillow.com can get home / site boundaries. I would like to know if this data is open data, and if so, could I connect to it?

Postage data is typically stored at the Assessor County office. In the USA there are more than 3,000 counties with various data quality, policies, etc. Many counties provide data for free through their websites, others pay a small fee to cover their data costs, others still do not have it digitally.
