Best practice or prior art for javascript calendar

Question

This is a slightly subjective question, and the red banner warns me that it is "likely to be closed," but I'm not sure of the best place to ask, so here it goes.

My application requires a very light scheduling calendar for display only. Essentially, a meeting book where you can see a few days, or maybe a month at a time, and every day you can see different meetings, a-la Google calendar.

The calendar should also have a reliable source for various holidays.

This is not like I have to program myself, since for sure someone has already done the hard work, and I am primarily concerned about the holidays if I eventually give up my own.

Any suggestions for an existing product / library?

Here is a good jQuery plugin. Shows weeks at a time.

We are implementing the Google calendar in one of our applications, it works for us, but I believe that many developers will have problems with branding or for better integration with it.
