What are the current java search options like Hibernate Search or Compass?

When Compass follows the path of the dodo (or, at least, is no longer actively developing), I wonder what other technologies exist that play a similar role. I know about Hibernate Search, but nothing really. It seems that the direction is towards full indexation of agnostics of essences and relationships. Are there any other technologies worth paying attention to? Are there any advantages to using something more agnostic like Solr?

I have never received the best solutions for applications other than Compass and Hibernate Search. We implemented a search using Compass. Looking back, it’s hard for me to get answers to my questions, and although this works very well, I cannot help but think that searching in the application is not the way to go. Although it is not necessarily a great idea to drown out your environment with several interconnected applications, the grass from the search ground in the application certainly turns green looking at Solr pasture (and ElasticSearch, for that matter).

Sol is amazing. I don't know your specific use case, but solr will probably handle this.
