How to Change Vocabulary Characters in SQL Server Full-Text Indexing

By default, when SQL Server (currently using 2008) points to the full-text index of the column, it processes characters such as "@" and ".". like switches, similar to "".

I would like to restrict processing characters to just "so that" joe.bloggs@somewhere .com "is treated as one word.

It looks like you can choose "Language for Word Breaker" against the indexed column - maybe I need to configure my own language?

Does anyone know how I can do this?
