Why do I get 401 UNAUTHORIZED when I log in to WSS 3.0?

Question

When I first open my web page on WSS 3.0, I always get 401 UNAUTHORIZED. I searched a lot of solutions from google results. I turned off the feedback check. Admin rights for sharepoint account added. I must add that I use anonymous access to the site by default. Can someone help me solve this problem? You are welcome.

I was tried permissions from here: codeplex This didn't help either . :(

In several instances that I came across ... as a result of M $ updates, it sometimes does something internal for Internet user accounts such as

IWAM_ {computer_name} IUSR_ {computer_name}

which are sometimes used by IIS as a website account. It was as simple as clearing and resetting the password for these accounts, and the site was active again without any problems (until some subsequent update related to IIS started the account again).
