Can I use gitg to view changes in only one file / directory?

It drives me crazy, as it is very easy for gitk (simple gitk the/file), but I can not do it on gitg, which I really like to see in history.

This is not a well-documented tool.

The short answer is no, he cannot do this (in version .0.6).

gitg claims:

gitg does not strive to be an advanced tool that provides access to every Git function through a graphical interface. However, he will try to include general actions that may require several actions on the command line (for example, setting, returning and committing)

git log <file> gitk <file>
