Twitter oAuth: authenticated user status update

Question

I have a website that authenticates users using their Twitter ID and password through oAuth.

Everything works well.

I want to know if it is possible to post a status update on Twitter user page. I know how to post a status update on my site on a Twitter account (which has a site with wit registered), but how do I update someone else's status when they authenticate through my site?
