Connect to Amazon S3 from Hosting

Ok, I've been looking for Google for some time now, and I can't find a good tutorial on how to connect to an Amazon S3 account from my hosting server. If someone knows a good step-by-step tutorial, write url.

Here is a bit more information on what I'm trying to accomplish. im using Vidiscript, which is a YouTube clone. I want to save on disk and bandwidth by uploading all the videos to an Amazon S3 account, and I also needed to load a lot, since vidiscript does not offer a free way to upload more than one video at a time. I wanted to create a cron job that checks for new downloads and adds information to the database. but I still have to figure out a way to create preview thumbnails for the video, so I may have to upload to the hosting, then create thumbnails, then upload to Amazon S3 and then delete the files from the hosting.

But in any case, I need to connect to my Amazon S3 account from the hosting server.

I will broadcast all the videos using the flowplayer pseudo-plexing plugin.

Any alternative solutions to save bandwidth and bulk load will also be appreciated.

You can map the AWS S3 directory to the local directory using FUSE . There are several projects for this.

Vidiscript seems to be PHP based, so I would go with php-aws
