How to configure SMS gateway in Windows 7 and test .NET.

My company works at Telco, which will allow us to send / receive sms using their gateway, but at the moment I need to install the sms gateway in my Win7 box, which I can use to test and build an application that sends and, if necessary, receive sms messages.

I looked at Kannel , but I can’t find the Win7 version or don’t know how to compile and install on Win7.

If anyone has experience, please help me. Thanks

If you connect to telco, it will probably be SMSC directly through SMPP or similar protocols, which means you will need to configure something to talk to it. Kannel is a great open source SMS gateway implementation, and probably your best bet. It takes care of the conversation with telco SMSC and provides you with a simple HTTP interface for sending messages from your application.

In this case, you better try to configure it sooner rather than later, because it is involved in configuring Kannel quite a bit. This requires Linux-based systems to work, and no Windows port.
