Sql server performance and MS Access

I have an existing application that uses Sql Server 2005 as a background. It contains huge records, I need to combine tables that contain 50K-70K. The m / c client is lower equipment.

So, can I improve performance using MS Access as source code? I also need to search the Access file. So which one is better for performance?

Is an access query better than an SQL query in lower h / w?

Because SQL Server runs as a separate process, caches the results, uses ram and processing power when not requested, etc., IF the other computer has very little RAM or a very slow processor (or perhaps even more important one -core) , I could see a situation where SQL Server is actually SLOWER than using MS Access.

Without information on setting up your equipment, approximately what percentage of your application depends on database queries, etc., I'm not sure that this question can be easily answered.

MS SQL Server 2005 Express requires at least 512 MB of RAM (see http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2005/en/us/system-requirements.aspx ), therefore, if your lower-level equipment does not work, they have both 512 MB minimum, I would of course choose MS Access through SQL Server.

SQL Server has the best indexing options ... Filtered indexes, included columns, etc. There is a possibility of ZERO that an Access query is faster than a properly programmed SQL Server database query.
