Database Update Questions

I have a web application that is implemented using java, jsp, servlets. whenever I have updates in the database table, the archaist in my DAO should be updated. are there any better solutions.

Decision

  • create a stream in the bean and query the database if updates are found, then re-run arraylist.
  • sends an ajax request from the client using the concept of polling.

kindly let me know the solutions, even if possible, using any infrastructure.
