Full Screen OpenGl

I would like to draw the inside of a full-screen window (i.e. it should completely fill the viewport) using OpenGL. The box should have a perspective.

I assume that I will have to resize the window depending on the size of the viewport, but I'm not sure how to do this.

My question is: how can I achieve this?
