Silverlight DataGrid - check for new rows when a single cell has not been changed

Question

I have a datagrid silverlight.

Validation works very well using DataAnnotations. However, if I add a new row to the grid, I won’t get the check until I try and edit the cells.

Is there no way to get the grid to check when the cell has not been pressed?
