When is the design suitable for the domain?

Most books on DDD talk about aligning technology with business. So you have orders and payment business rules, etc.

What if I write a technology application. For example, if I create a visual studio, for example, an application. Whether DDD is not relevant, or I can say that my domain is “application development” and identifies players (“solution”, “file”) and business rules, so I can apply DDD.

What you have here is just the case when the business domain is technical; that there is no reason not to use DDD.

You doubt that “software development” is not used as an example in DDD.
