Many years ago (almost ten) I thought Index View was more like an Enterprise Edition function (SQL 2000), but I was wrong, and the index index was indexed in SQL 2000 before the satifically competitive support of the product to materialize the view.
However, you can still create an index view and physically materialize this view in the entire SQL 2000/2005 edition, and the query will use this index for submission if you specify the NOEXPAND prompt for the query (which is not required for editing the site / developer)

However, it seems to me that starting with SQL 2008 / R2, index browsing is indeed a corporate release feature.

therefore, in SQL 2008 R2 Standard Edition you can create an index view, but it looks like NOEXPAND . The council will not work, so it is almost useless ...
Is it possible to create an index and use this index (instead of the index in the base table) in SQL Server 2008 R2 (standard or express version) using the noexpand hint?
