I know that the name is really incomprehensible, so give me a minute :) I am a pro-encoder doing cool things at work (console games), but I have an idea for an application (for a couple of years;)) that I would like to create at home.
With 15 years of experience, I donβt want to fall into the trap of those who want to do everything myself - I would like to take or steal as much as possible for all trivial things, so I can just focus on what I would like to do. But I want the application to work the way people expect it, with all the habits for calls and whistles.
This means that I need to create an application with (in my case) something like a workspace-interface, and cancel the re-system, persistence (serialization / loading and saving), and, preferably, the view of the VisualStudio docking interface so that users can decide how they want to look. (On the other hand, this is not an editor - look more like Mac Quartz Composer!)
I know all these things and how to write them from scratch, I just donβt want to worry - I want to spend my time writing my own cool thing, and not writing a great system or docking system or whatever.
Therefore, I would like to connect my application, steal what I can steal, focusing on what I want to create.
So far (without writing any code) I have come up with something like this:
