Cloud for Windows.NET

I am currently running a new .NET application on an Amazon instance. I really like this because it comes with pre-installed installations of Windows 2k8, IIS7, and SQL. However, it costs a little, at about $ 90 / month for a small copy that catagraphs as:

"Small instance (default) 1.7 GB of memory, 1 EC2 compute unit (1 virtual core with 1 EC2 compute unit), 160 GB of local instance storage, 32-bit platform"

Is there a cheaper alternative (VPS ??) for the above Amazon EC2 service? I would prefer that people who have experience / success are not always the cheapest on the market.

I am not sure that this will not be removed due to the fact that you are not a programming issue: BUT - I really did a good job with the GoDaddy Server 2003 examples, which are much less than 90 / mo. They can not cope with the heavy load, but for me they were very stable.

I recommend you use the new AWS microinstallation . You can simply test it by running the server-side AMI as micro instace.

Last Friday, we switched two small instances, and this works great for us.
