Redirect site site / landing for a domain to another place?

Is it possible for a fraudster to redirect the site / landing site to your domain elsewhere? Say the site is intended by the visitor, knowledgenotebook.combut the scammer redirected the user to google.comor yahoo.comor something else? And doing it randomly, so he can try to avoid detection.

I believe that you can do this by poisoning the DNS or XSS cache .

For DNS poisoning, it will still say knowledgenotebook.com in the url. With XSS, I think it should have a new URL.

What do you mean randomly? How will user X be redirected, but users Y and Z will not? If this is what you mean, then they could randomize it using XSS. I do not think this can be randomized using DNS poisoning ...

Yes it is possible. He can use several methods to achieve goals such as DNS capture, IP spoofing, ARP poisoning, publishing a host file, etc. Hakin9 is a very good magazine for beginners (but not only) interested in security issues
