Android flash flickering

Question

I have a ViewFlipper with several views added dynamically. I override onTouchEvent (and onInterceptTouchEvent) to get down, move, and move events on views, so I know when to animate left and right.

Now everything works fine, except that there is a slight flicker (one of the other views is displayed on top for a second of a second) at the beginning of the swipe. This only happens after the first scroll is completed.

I looked at the source code for the application on the Android main screen, which helped a lot, but they do not use ViewFlipper, so it is slightly different.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?
