Can I use SVCUTIL to create a link to a web service for .NET 2.0 (i.e. NOT for a WCF client)

We have a WCF service that displays the endpoint basicHTTPBinding, but I need to use it from a .NET 2.0 application.

We have available WSDL files.

Is there a way to use SVCUTILto create a link to a web service that is compatible with .NET 2.0?

No, you cannot, but you can use the wsdl.exe tool or Add a web link in Visual Studio.
