Will the iphone 3gs app work on iphone 4?

So, I'm currently creating an application that supports both iphone 3gs and ipad (this is a universal binary application).

What is interesting to me is how iphone 4 users will view my application, will they be visible in pixels? will they not see it in full screen mode, since my iphone 3gs has lower resolution?

I don't have iphone 4 yet, but I'd rather just release this app as it is - only for 3gs and ipad. Is there anything I need to know / any precautions, etc.? Oh (I just thought about it) there is an iphone 4.0 sim so I can check if my application is working?

Thank!

Yes, you can change the type of your device by clicking on the simulator: Hardware-> Device-> iPhone 4 If you don’t have one, you can download the latest developer tools.

You may also need to click Window-> Scale-> 100%

Basically, any bitmap graphics (PNG files) will look a bit blurry on the iPhone 4 Retina screen.

- (100x100 200x200) PNG "@2x.png". , MyBitmap.png MyBitmap@2x.png. , . iPhone 4 @2x.png , :

UIImage *myBitmap = [UIImage imageNamed:@"MyBitmap.png"];

Xib @2x.png, .

, . .
