Justification for these performance metrics: Arrays vs. C # Lists

Can someone explain the reasons why the numbers in this post are what they are?

Array and List Performance

I was curious why the iterator for the list works so poorly, but it was so close for the indexer.

There is probably very little in the way of the List indexer and the array indexer, so it makes sense that they are very close in time (i.e. there are not many chains of list implementation to array implementation if there is something between them).
