We must store 2 versions of the product. Now, some changes in each version should be transferred to another version.
In SVN, if I made a “change” to version 1, I will combine this revision with version 2 and give a comment, for example: “Merge” with “v1”.
This is inconvenient in many ways. Even worse if I change a few changes.
Can git help me make one change in both branches, so that the editorial comment, date, all belong to the same commit for both versions after I “merged” 1v1 to be part of the second branch?
